Hospice is a type of care and a philosophy of care which focuses on the palliation of a terminally ill patient's symptoms. These symptoms can be physical, emotional, spiritual or social in nature.

Ok, so, this album has begun to consume my life! It all started with the songs "Bear" and "Two", which are great. So i went on to listen to the entire album and thought, hey, this is really great, really haunting, really gripping. Then i decided i needed to find out a bit more about it leading to me spending an entire day listening to and researching this album.

This, my friends (Liv), is not just an album, it is in fact a story. A 'concept album'. This will be reiterated upon reading the endless great reviews. A few of which i will link to here. The other crucial thing to have at the ready is the linear notes from the album (or, the inside bit from the cover). This is when the story truly unfolded for me. Reading along whilst listening. Its simply.. wow. I suggest you definitely get familiar with the songs first however.

Peter Silberman is a lyrical genius and a music god if you ask me. And these songs he has written come from himself. The story behind the album is somewhat autobiographical but im pretty sure its also fictional if that makes sense. The charcters in the story are loosely based on a relationship he had with someone or something. Dunno exactly as the guy seems to not want to delve into the details of the personal side of it.

Now i know you may or may not feel as strongly as i do about this album, which is fair enough, just wanted to share my thoughts. And share some links to some recreational research into this poignant album.
